The CVLTVS HONOR VIRTVS Muscle Tank carries the full CVLTVS HONOR VIRTVS artwork by Raf The Might, the artist behind work for Slayer, Behemoth, Ozzy Osbourne and Lamb of God, on a sleeveless cut built for the weights room, the pit and the summer road. On the front, IRON IMPERIVM above the horned mask of an enraged faun, flanked by two griffins over a CVLTVS HONOR VIRTVS banner. Down the back, IRON IMPERIVM in tall vertical letters between two winged Victories, one with the head of an eagle, one with the head of a wolf. CVLTVS CORPORIS: THE TRAINING OF THE BODY
To the Romans, cultus was what you tend every day: the field, the gods, and the body. Cultus corporis meant the care and training of the body. CVLTVS is culture, not "cult". VIRTVS, from vir, was courage proven under pressure. HONOR is what that courage earns. This is the piece of the collection made for the first word: the daily work.
THE GUARDIANS: FRONT
The two griffins. Lion's body, eagle's head and wings. The Greeks gave them to Apollo and to Nemesis, and Rome carried Nemesis into the arena as the patron of gladiators. The Thraex gladiator fought under a helmet crest that ended in a griffin's head.
The faun mask. Faunus, Rome's ancient god of the wild woods, later merged with the horned Greek Pan, whose name gives us panic: the sudden fear that breaks a line. The face here is the god angered.
THE STANDARDS: BACK
IRON IMPERIVM runs the length of the spine, between two winged Victories, Nike to the Greeks and Victoria to Rome. Raf The Might gives each one the head of a Roman standard: the eagle, the aquila of Jupiter that Gaius Marius made the sole standard of every legion, and the wolf, sacred to Mars, which marched beside the eagle as a legionary standard before Marius. Two standards, two Victories.

TACTICAL SIZING NOTE
Relaxed fit with wide, low-cut armholes. Take your usual size for the loose, open drop; size down for a closer cut through the body.
PRODUCT CARE
Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Do not bleach. Hang-dry for the longest life. Iron inside out if needed; never iron directly on the print. Do not dry clean.
